Catch up: First snow

We had the first real snow of the season in Utah in October.  This was really Christian's first experience with the white stuff.  When we lived in Boston he was too young to be aware of the snow, let alone go out and play in it.  In France it didn't really ever stick when it snowed, plus they close all the little parks when the weather is bad.

I wish I got a picture of his face when he first saw the 4 inches of snow on the ground.  My mom said his little jaw just dropped!  I can just imagine him thinking, "That is not what it used to look like out there," when he looked out the front door.  Needless to say he had a blast playing in the snow.

 First, timid steps...what a new feeling under your feet.

Now he's into it!  He even discovered he could roll down the hill...

All in all, I think it was a hit.
